The Circle Works is a focus, resource and meeting
point for a wide range of people whose work makes
a difference in the community.
What is The Circle Works?
They come from fields such as:
• community action: community development, community arts, youth work,
• homelessness, mediation, religious ministry (including chaplaincy), bereavement
• education: school leadership, teaching, pastoral care, extracurricular support
• health: especially mental health, counselling and therapy
The idea behind The Circle Works is simple: that in order to be effective, people who
do such challenging work need time and space to think about, and learn from, their
experiences.
At our calm and welcoming centre we offer them reflective space in various forms:
consultations, quiet days, gatherings around a theme, arts-based events, and
workshops where people can share their expertise as well as their stories.
At the heart of everything we do is a resolute commitment to human connection:
outward, to each other and the world, and inward, to the ideals and passion that
sustain, motivate and inspire.
